My name is Alice Tsui, director of “Unexpected Gaieties” (I still have to consciously think about the spelling of that word every time I write it). A little bit about me: I'm currently a junior at Chapman University in the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, majoring in Film Production with an emphasis in directing. I used to be an education major, but then I worked on my first movie set, and it changed everything, and I applied to switch to film immediately, and I didn't tell my parents, and people told me it would be impossible to get in, and I peed myself waiting for three months, and then I got in, and... well, here I am.
I guess I'll say a few “fun facts”-- do people even like fun facts? Anyway, I love chinchillas, anything mint green, Orange Is The New Black, and zombies (but I hate horror, if that makes any sense). Some of my hobbies include phot-

ography, singing (I'm in an a cappella group), and bartending. I cry when I laugh really hard. I longboard everywhere, but I suck at riding bikes. I own a lot of shirts with food printed on it. I'm really ticklish.
What I really want to say though, is thank you. Thank you for supporting my film and my cast and my crew, and a message that means so much to me. I myself identify as bisexual, and I'm such a strong advocate for the LGBT community. I think the way that LGBT characters (and minorities in general) are currently being portrayed in the media is problematic, and my life purpose is to change that. My aim is to give a proper voice to those who are so often muted. We are all beautifully human in our own right, despite our distinctions, and I think the world would be a much better place if we all remembered that.
Your support means everything to me. It may not seem like a big deal to you, but to me, it feels like some random stranger is floating down from the sky to give me a little encouraging pat on the head, and it's filling me with so much life and motivation and inspiration. This may only be one little project, one small step-- but it's the beginning.
